On Wednesday, 20 December 2017, a series of meetings between the refugees who participated in the Face Forward …into my home programme and the public began at EMST National Museum of Contemporary Art – Athens.
At EMST’s Temporary Exhibition Space the participants, in front of their portraits, share with the visitors their experience from their participation in the program, their thoughts, memories and the emotions created during their contact with the artworks from the EMST Collection. They finally discuss with Athenians and visitors about their new life in
In the first Face Forward meeting …at EMST, we had the opportunity to meet three of the younger participants.

Face Forward …into my home was designed and implemented by EMST’s Education Department, in collaboration with UNHCR, and is funded by the European Commission’s department for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO), in the framework of the ESTIA programme, providing urban accommodation and cash assistance to thousands of asylum seekers and refugees in Greece.
Face Forward …into my home is extended until February 18, 2018.
